Buyers rarely have direct access to "live" mls information. Usually, only licensed agents, appraisers & inspectors do.
Not everyone offers open-access mls like we do, which is critical in today's competitive market.
Searching for homes is simple through the FlexMLS IDX (internet data exchange), a database "pool" of homes offered for sale by agents to each other for compensation. Most online websites like realtor.com, homes.com, zillow.com, etc are indirect sources & fail to have up-to-date information, only a delayed 3rd party feed of mls and/or public record data that is quickly outdated. These sites often can be frustrating to use as you are looking at unavailable homes or inaccurate listing info.
